Among so many Hollywood super productions, the small and simple film Dallas Buyers Club has been one of the most prominent Oscar surprises of 2013, with its three awards: two for its characters, Matthew McConaughey (Best Actor) and Jared Leto (Best Supporting Actor), which together with the Oscar for Best Makeup and Hair, came to Dallas Buyers Club to confirm that it is, above all, an intimate film where the acting, dialogue and characterization form the skeleton of a hard film, without concessions.
Dallas Buyers Club tells the story of Ron Woodroof (McConaughey). Electrician, rodeo cowboy, and especially proud Texan, his life is turned upside down when he's diagnosed as HIV positive. Moreover, he's hardly given 30 days to live. But Ron doesn't want to give up without a fight and will do so with the most unlikely ally: another AIDS patient, Rayon (Jared Leto), who shares Ron's desire for life ... but it is a transsexual convinced of his lifestyle.
